How do I show my company's name when checking into a property?

Steps on how to represent your company when checking in to a property

Sometimes when you visit a property, the property owner or the other visitors may not recognize your name and wonder where you're from. The great news is that you can show your company name to them.

When you first created your account, you would have been asked which company you're part of. The name of your company is what shows when you check-in.

From the Onside app

You can join an existing company in Onside or create a new one, right from the app. It's important to search for your company first. Creating duplicate companies will cause issues later on.

  1. Open the Onside app and make sure you're logged in.
  2. Tap the sidemenu button in the top left of the screen, it will look like 3 lines.
  3. Tap the edit icon.
  4. Tap 'Join a company' at the bottom of the pop up.
  5. You will then be prompted to search to see if your company is already in Onside. Alternatively, tap "Create a company" if it's not there.

From the Onside Web Portal

A Company Admin can invite you in to a company from the Company Members page.

If you are unsure who the admin is, you can get in touch with us and we can facilitate this.

How to change an existing company name

You will need to be the Company Admin to change this. If you're not and you should be, please get in touch with us.

  1. Log into your Onside account via the Onside web portal.
  2. Click 'Company' in the sidebar.
  3. Click 'Settings'.
  4. Edit the company name in the 'Name' field.

Adding other staff to your company

  1. Click the 'Members' option in the sidebar.
  2. Click 'Invite' in the top right.
  3. Try searching for the name or email of the person first.
  4. If they're not in our database, click "Create new user".
  5. Enter their details and send the invite. They'll be notified by email and text message.
