How do I report a risk in Onside?

Reporting a risk via the Onside app

Reporting a risk in Onside is done straight from the Onside app. When a risk is reported, it will notify the admins of the property to investigate via a notification and email. Take a look at this video, or follow the steps below to start reporting as a visitor.

If you're an admin of a property and you want to add a risk, it's best to do this via the web portal instead.

Reporting a riskRecord risk 1

Using the Onside app is the quickest and easiest way to report a risk on a rural property. These quick steps are all it takes;

  1. Check-in to the property you found the risk on
    (if you're not already).
  2. Go to the 'Map' tab along the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap on the green plus button to bring up the reporting menu.
  4. Tap 'Record risk'.
  5. Then you'll just need to add a few details about the risk, such as;
    • Category - What you think best describesRecord risk 2 this as a risk. E.g electrocution, falling from heights, chemicals and dangerous substances.
    • Title - Give your risk a brief name which you think summarizes what the risk is or what kind of injury could happen as a result of it. E.g Downed powerlines: Electrocution, LPG gas - Serious fire and explosion risk.
    • Details - Add a bit of information about the risk so the person reviewing it knows exactly why you think it should be on their risk register.
    • Location - Simply tap on the map where the risk exists. If it encompasses a larger area, the admin reviewing it will be able to map the area.
    • Supporting files - Add up to 5 images or files per risk. You have the option of taking the photos then and there, or uploading from your smartphone.
  6. Once you've added the information you think is relevant, tap 'Record'.
    From here a notification and email will be sent to the property admins. They will then review what you have reported. If the risk is accepted, you'll see it when you next check-in to the property.
