What is Overdue Dialer?

Overdue Dialer is Onside's automated calling service

Onside's Overdue Dialer takes looking out for your team to the next level by automatically calling your staff out in the field if they haven't checked out when they were expected to.

If you have people who are often working alone, this one's for you. Get peace of mind that everyone is getting home safe at the end of the day.

Overdue Dialer is part of the Onside Teams Professional plan

 When the user is overdue to check-out:

  1. Let's say that Joe goes out to visit many different rural properties. When he checks in, he'll add through the Onside app what his expected departure time (EDT) is.
  2. If Joes doesn't check-out when he is expected to, or hasn't updated his departure time in the app, he'll get a notification 10 minutes, then 2 minutes before his time runs out. Then again when he is over time.

If Joe has still not responded by checking out, or updating his EDT, he'll receive an automated phone call  (+64 4887 9513). If he picks up, the automated call will advise when he was expected to check out and on which property. He'll then be given options to;
  1. Connect to his manager/supervisor's phone;
  2. Connect to the property contact's phone;
  3. End the sequence and say he's fine, giving himself a few minutes to check-out or update his departure time.

When the user doesn't respond:

  1. If Joe doesn't answer the automated call, his manager or Team Leader will be called 10 minutes later.
  2. The manager will be advised that Joe is overdue to depart, and from which property. They will then have the choice of calling Joe directly, or being connected with the property contact instead, as they're likely closer to him. They also have the option of stopping the process and taking responsibility for Joe themselves (text message, site visit, etc).
  3. So what happens if the manager is unavailable to answer the call? Overdue dialer follows a call tree in which there are nominated people to call through in order until someone picks up (up to a maximum of two call cycles).
  4. When Joe has been determined to be okay, and has checked out of the property, Team leaders will get a notification to advise that Joe is no longer overdue, and has checked out.
