A few quick things to try if you can't log in
If you're having trouble logging in and are ready to throw your phone out the window…. Don’t do that, phones are expensive.
If you've tried logging in to the Onside app and have received the message ‘Failed to log on’ or your password is not being accepted, you're probably thinking "ok, now what?".
Try single sign-on

Troubleshooting your login
Below are the most common reasons for logon issues:
- Your app is out of date
- You are not yet registered with Onside
- The email or password you have entered is incorrect
- You may be experiencing internet issues
- Your phone's software is not supported
Out of date app
First and foremost, start with the easiest fix, check the Onside app is up to date: Update your app.
You are not yet registered with Onside
If you've received an invite to Onside, but haven't set a password yet, your registration is incomplete. Open the Onside app, tap the ‘Sign up’ button, and follow the instructions.
The email or password you have entered is incorrect
If you know you already have an account with Onside, you may have entered your email or password incorrectly. We know…. emails and passwords are painful! we’d prefer not to have them, but we need to keep your info safe and secure, so bear with us.
When you're re-entering your login details, try not to use auto-fill, as sometimes it adds spaces where it shouldn't and make sure you have capitals in the right place
A good test to see if you know your email and password is to try logging in to the web portal.
If you still can’t log on, try resetting your password. You can do this through these steps.
Internet issues
While the Onside app can do a lot of things offline, like check-in, record risks, etc, it does need an internet connection to log in to your account.
Go to your phone's browser and see if you can access Google or other websites. If you can't, you'll have to troubleshoot that.
Your phone is not supported
We're constantly hard at work improving Onside and upgrading the technology it uses. Sometimes however, our improvements are incompatible with devices which use older versions of Android or iOS. Apple or Google also have a life span on how long devices can use their app stores and once that time is up, the Onside app can no longer update either.
More info on supported devices can be found here.
